Acer's Emachine laptops for India

Acer has introduced two new eMachine notebooks D525 and D725 in India. New eMachine D525 comes equipped with Intel Celeron processor while the eMachine D725 has dual core Pentium processor inside. Acer is offering eMachines D525 for Rs. 24,999 and eMachines D725 for Rs. 27,999. Both prices are exclusive of taxes.

Acer acquired Gateway and eMachines OEMs in 2007 and continues selling the computers through respective brands as part of global strategy. The 14-inch eMachine D525 has Intel Celeron M900 mobile processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive and Integrated 0.3 megapixel Webcam. This notebook's 14-inch 16:9 aspect ratio LCD display offers 1366x768 pixel resolution visual output.

The 14-inch eMachine D725 packs dual-core Intel Pentium T4200 processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive and integrated 'low-luminance enhanced' webcam, touch pad pointing device and quick launch keys.

Both notebooks sport Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 and come with pre-installed eMachine Comprehensive Security Bundle. This bundle includes 60-day trial copy of Norton 360 All-in-One Security.
